Weddings & events in Amalfi Coast.

Amalfi weddings reward couples who plan for the geography. The roads are narrow, the views are vertical, and the best ceremonies happen on terraces that take a producer's full attention. We've planned weddings in Ravello, Positano, the Sorrento peninsula, and on Capri — with Italian production partners on the ground and a UK team in lockstep.

Best season

Late May through September; September is the most reliable

From London

2.5 hour flight to Naples; 90 minutes to Sorrento, 2 hours to Ravello

The Amalfi Coast is the most logistically demanding destination wedding region we work in. Coach access to many venues is restricted; guest transport runs by minibus shuttle or boat. Catering moves slower than UK couples expect. The hotels run a different rhythm in peak season than any other destination. None of this is a reason not to plan an Amalfi wedding — every one we've planned has been worth it — but it does mean planning starts earlier and the production week is longer than in Provence or the Cotswolds.

Ravello villas (Villa Cimbrone, Villa Eva, Villa Rufolo) handle weddings from 60 to 180 with a confidence built over decades. Positano has fewer venues at scale but the Hotel Sirenuse and the cliffside villas above the town offer rooms that book a year ahead. The Sorrento peninsula has the best mid-range options. Capri requires a Capri-specific budget for the boat logistics alone.

We work with two Italian production partners who handle local licensing, contract negotiations in Italian, supplier coordination, and pre-event logistics. Our team flies in with the crew for production week. Civil ceremonies in Italy take six to eight weeks of documentation; most UK couples opt for a UK civil + Italian symbolic.

Questions, answered

Planning a destination wedding in Amalfi Coast.

01How early should we book an Amalfi wedding?
Twelve to fifteen months ahead for peak-season Saturdays. Ravello villas book 14–16 months out for June through September. The earliest you can lock the venue, the better.
02Can you handle Italian civil ceremony paperwork?
Yes, with our Italian partner. Italian civil ceremonies require translated and apostilled documents and approximately six to eight weeks of processing. Most UK couples choose UK civil + Italian symbolic for simplicity.
03What about guest transport on the Amalfi Coast?
We plan shuttle logistics village-by-village. Coaches can't access most cliff venues; minibuses and private cars are standard. For larger weddings (140+), boat transfers can be the most elegant solution between Positano and ceremony venues.
04What's the typical Amalfi budget?
Amalfi weddings typically run £100,000–£280,000 for 80–160 guests in total spend. Logistics costs (transport, accommodation block, crew travel) are 25–35% higher than Provence.
