Weddings & events in Luton & Dunstable.

London is home — Bedfordshire is twenty miles up the M1, and a regular part of our calendar. We plan weddings and private events at Luton Hoo, Woburn, and the wider Luton-Dunstable corridor, plus corporate hospitality for the head offices that sit along the M1 between Hemel and Milton Keynes.

Best season

Year-round; May to September for outdoor ceremonies, October–March for indoor estate weddings

From London

30 minutes by car via M1; 25 minutes from St Pancras to Luton Parkway by Thameslink

Luton and Dunstable sit in a usefully overlooked corner of the UK wedding map. Thirty minutes from central London by car, twenty-five by train into St Pancras, and surrounded by some of the most underrated country-house venues in the south of England. The travel logistics are simpler than the Cotswolds — guests can leave London after work and be at the welcome dinner by 19:00 — and the supplier base is shared with our London work.

Luton Hoo is the headline venue: a Capability Brown estate with 228 bedrooms across the estate and the mansion, capacity for 200+ in the ballroom, and one of the best wedding kitchens we work with outside the Cotswolds. Woburn Abbey (technically Bedfordshire/Buckinghamshire border) handles exclusive-hire weddings of up to 150. The smaller estate-house options — Houghton Hall, The Mansion at Old Warden, and a handful of private homes available by referral — sit at the 60–120 guest scale.

Corporate work in the area is a meaningful part of our calendar. Logistics hubs, head offices, and the cluster of life-sciences and tech businesses along the M1 corridor between Hemel Hempstead and Milton Keynes brief us regularly for launches, AGMs, hospitality dinners and partner events. The venue list expands beyond country houses for corporate: the Power Court complex in Luton, private rooms at the Grove (Hertfordshire), and bespoke marquee builds at corporate campuses.

Pricing is at the lower end of our planning fee range — Luton/Dunstable weddings start at £8,500 in planning fees vs. £12,500 for the Cotswolds — primarily because crew travel and accommodation costs are lower. Suppliers are still charged at cost. We never take supplier commission.

Questions, answered

Planning a wedding in Luton & Dunstable.

01How is Luton-area accessible for London guests?
Thirty minutes by car from central London via the M1. Twenty-five minutes from St Pancras to Luton Parkway by Thameslink (six trains an hour). For weddings of 100+ we still typically coach-charter from a central London pickup; the train is reliable but the timings get tight if guests are dressed for the wedding.
02How much does a Luton or Dunstable wedding cost?
Planning fees from £8,500. Total spend including venue, catering, florals and production typically sits between £35,000 and £120,000 for a wedding of 80–180 guests. Suppliers at cost, no commission.
03Do you do corporate work in the area?
Yes — regularly. Launches, AGMs, partner events and hospitality dinners for the cluster of head offices along the M1 corridor (Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Milton Keynes). Venue list extends to corporate campuses with marquee builds, the Grove, and private rooms across the M25/M1 hospitality belt.
04What about accommodation for guests?
Luton Hoo, Woburn and the larger estates have substantial on-site accommodation. For weddings of 120+ we also block-book hotels in Harpenden, St Albans and central Luton — typically 40–80 rooms across two or three properties.
